AAGES took part as Sponsor Panel of ANDREC WEEK 2018, the largest Congress of Renewable Energies in Colombia, which unites the main international and local agents of wind, solar, biomas, storage, finance and transmission.
The congress took place at the Sheraton Bogotá Hotel from 1 to 4 October.
Armando Zuluaga, CEO of AAGES, participated as a speaker on Wednesday October 3 in the panel entitled “Best practices for the construction and management of large-scale solar plants” focused on highlighting effective strategies for environmental impact assessment and impact studies in social communities, overcoming challenges posed by the transmission line and network during the operation and construction of the project, and establishing effective acquisition strategies for solar modules, inverters, solar trackers and advisory work.
AAGES, as a leading company in the promotion and financing of renewable energy projects at the international level is actively following the evolution of the Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Sources (NCRE) in the country and the progress of the first auction called by the government for the first quarter of 2019.
The AAGES team had the opportunity to get to know firsthand the different actors in the NCRE sector in Colombia, both in the public and private sectors, to discuss issues related to the diversification of the energy mix in Colombia, strategies for the deployment of renewable energies and their inclusion in the energy transport and distribution network, the institutional and regulatory framework, project financing and many other key issues for the development of NCRE in the country.
